The Los Angeles Clippers earned a valuable 109-97 win over the Dallas Mavericks in the first meeting between the two teams in their first-round NBA Western Conference playoff series.

In Crypto.com Arena, the home team from LA came out stronger and led by 34:22 points. By halftime, the Clippers had extended their lead by as many as 26 points. Dallas was more offensive in the third quarter, but managed to reduce its deficit by only 4 points. In the final half, the Texans managed to dominate, but not enough to get the win, and at the final whistle, the home fans cheered.

James Harden scored 28 points, added 2 rebounds and 8 assists in 39 minutes on the floor for the winners from the Clippers. Ivica Zubac had a double-double – 20 points, 15 rebounds and 1 assist in 33 minutes of play.

For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic was above everyone, realizing a double-double in 42 minutes of play – 33 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists, and Kyrie Irving added 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

With the win, the Los Angeles Clippers took a 1-0 lead in the series against the Dallas Mavericks, with the second game again in LA on Wednesday, April 24, at 05:00 Bulgarian time.
