An interesting confession was made by the popular Bulgarian journalist Georgi Toshev. The occasion was Earth Day, which is celebrated today, and he called for more care for nature.
“Without what I’m about to tell you being a benchmark or an example, but I haven’t driven a car in over 26 years. There was an accident. I gave up on the car. Not that I caused the accident, I just decided. I thought, that my life is impossible. But I have traveled to 200 countries and I continue to travel. The other day I returned from Parma, where I was for a day and a half”, he revealed in “Predi Oed”, where he is a substitute commentator.
“I think that the minimal use of cars that pollute makes us not only healthier. It’s good to walk between 10-12 and more kilometers a day, I do it when I’m not working and I have more free time. I have to think about what we are doing to the climate and the environment. This is the conscious choice of how to live, because look what happened in Dubai, look what is happening here – we were 27-28 degrees, today it is 5. I mean, there are reasons for all this and these reasons are in us. Walk more, drive cars, too. I won’t give up, but I won’t give up walking bike and to be as responsible as possible in the way we treat nature and everything that surrounds us,” urged Toshev.
