The municipality of Smolyan has warned beekeepers that spraying against mosquitoes is coming

Municipality Smolyan carries out treatment of lawns against ticks and fleas in the city. This also applies to inter-block spaces, stadiums, cemetery parks, kindergartens and playgrounds on the territory of the municipality for the period from April 29 to May 10.
On the treated areas signs will be posted, warning by the municipality. The parents to comply and not let children play in playgrounds and lawns that have been treated. Beekeepers should also take action the necessary measures to protect the bee colonies, the administration says. The spraying of lawns will begin on April 23 and continue until April 30. In case of adverse weather conditions, this period may be extended.
It is forbidden for people and animals to enter the treated areas for 24 hours.
