The Masters competition in Madrid starts the day after tomorrow, and the show looks guaranteed. Yannick Siner will be in the role of top seed for the first time and probably in his first match he will have to go against his very close friend Lorenzo Songo, with whom he won the Davis Cup together and even partnered in doubles at the Masters in Monte Carlo. The top seed in Sinner’s way is Australian Jordan Thompson, who won the title in Los Cabos, but is definitely not a clay-courter, and the world number two could face one of Karen Khachanov and Nicolas Jarry in a 1/4- the finals.
It was in this quarter that Kasper Ruud got into, and the leader in defeats in the season can hardly be particularly satisfied with his luck, because already in the third he could compete with Cameron Norrie, who eliminated him at the Australian Open, and Grigor Dimitrov is his potential opponent in the round of 16.

Already in the 1/8-finals, it is possible to see a repeat of last season’s final, because Jan-Lennard Struff looks in great form after winning his debut ATP title and will apparently be the favorite to eliminate Hugo Humber in a possible third-round match circle between them and so form a spectacle with Alcaraz. Also in this quarter are Andrei Rublev and Holger Rune, whose performances have been far from glamorous lately, and possible rivals for the local favorite in the 1/2-finals are Alexander Zverev, Hubert Hurkach, Tommy Paul and Taylor Fritz.
