The match started with expected home pressure and more active play since September. DUnav, for its part, relied on good positioning in defense and counterattacks.

After a little more than a quarter of an hour of play, the visitors had launched an attack, but Ivan Geshev’s players took the ball away and took advantage of the free spaces left. Borislav Marinov dribbled the ball and passed to the right wing. A cross to Martin Toshev followed, but a defender in white managed to intervene.

In the 25th minute, Dunav surprisingly took the lead. Ivan Arsov made a mistake, after which Luis Pahama broke through to the penalty area. Arsov tried to get revenge with a split, but did not play with the ball and brought down the offensive player of the “dragons” in the penalty area. Behind the ball stood Miroslav Budinov, who sent the ball into the net, although Sheitanov was close to saving.

Twelve minutes later, Luis Pahama once again made a great breakthrough and managed to overcome Asen Georgiev. Ivan Arsov came to the rescue, but again he was not careful and tripped the fast-footed player of the “dragons”, which meant a second penalty. Miroslav Budinov was even more cool-headed this time, bet Dimitar Sheitanov and doubled his team’s lead.

In the stoppage time of the first half, Daniel Nikolov made a remarkable save. Thus Dunav withdrew with a good lead after 45 minutes as a guest of Septemvri.

Just eight minutes into the second half were needed for a goal to put Septemvri back in the game. Martin Stoyanov crossed with his left foot towards the second post, where Martin Toshev intercepted with his head and sent the ball behind Nikolov’s back – 1:2.

A quarter of an hour before the final whistle, Septemri hit the crossbar. A Danube defender cleared the ball but it reached Aykut Ramadan. The midfielder took a touch from the edge of the penalty area, but his curled shot hit the crossbar.

The last 5 minutes of regular time were very intense. First, Jean-Pierre Da Silva hit the post, then a corner followed. After the cross, another post was reached, the ball was cleared, and subsequently Zahari Atanasov threw himself roughly at the feet of Luis Pahama. The referee did not hesitate and immediately raised a red card.
