One person died in an occupational accident in Shumen

Occupational trauma and good practices for its prevention were discussed by experts in Shumen. The initiative is of the Executive Agency of the Main Labor Inspectorate and is called “Go home after work!” Someone is waiting for you there.”
There have been 33 fatal occupational accidents so far in the country since the beginning of the year, which is more than the previous year. This black statistic is the reason for holding regional conferences in which specialists discuss ways to reduce occupational injuries.
“Most often, our analyzes show that this happens in the construction industry and during the execution of construction and assembly works. Total underestimation of safety and health rules, extreme self-confidence. Experience, because our analysis shows that most often fatal accidents and serious work accidents happen to people who either have extremely high experience, have been doing this activity for years, or people with little experience”, summarized the Executive Director agency “Main Labor Inspectorate” Ekaterina Asenova.
According to labor experts, the leader’s personal example is extremely important in collectives.
“He is the one who can build that culture of intolerance in his workers and employees towards dangerous work, towards the dangerous actions of colleagues, so that we really reach our goal – reducing the number of work accidents in the country”, added Ekaterina Asenova.
In Shumen, since the beginning of the year, only one occupational accident, which ended fatally, has been registered. The region traditionally has a low number of people injured at work, statistics show.
