From April 15 to 21 in the city of Koper, Slovenia, the European Taekwondo ITF Championship for men and women, juniors and girls, boys and girls was held. More than 800 competitors from 34 countries took part in the race.

The Bulgarian delegation participated with 86 competitors in all age groups. Two of the best athletes of Taekwondo club “Hawk – Bansko” – Katrin Gemkova and Martin Dimitrov, were part of the national team. They won a total of six medals in individual and team events!

Katrin Gemkova took first place in sparring team women. She came second in the team strength test and took bronze in the women’s individual sparring up to 67 kg.

Martin Dimitrov is in third place sparring team senior juniors, in third place sparring individual senior juniors +75 kg and in 3rd place for special technique juniors senior age.

After the successful participation in Euro 2024, coach Nikolay Kehaiov is preparing the athletes from Taekwondo Club “Hawk – Bansko” for an international tournament in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of May.
