The German police yesterday searched properties in four provinces as part of actions aimed at members of the Nigerian mafia, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

According to data from the police and the prosecutor’s office in Munich, several people were detained for outstanding arrest warrants. The detained men are suspected of being members of a criminal organization that operates in Germany and other countries.

In the operation in the states of Bavaria, Hesse, Baden-Württemberg and Hamburg, investigators seized numerous data storage devices. More than 330 law enforcement officers are said to have participated in yesterday’s operation.

The investigations are said to be primarily related to suspected internet fraud and money laundering.

The police and the prosecutor’s office are expected to hold a press conference today to reveal details about the shares.
