The US Senate (the upper house of Congress) supported the $95 billion financial package, including funds for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. President Joe Biden is expected to sign the laws into law as early as today. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked for the support. And Israel said the $13 billion in US military aid was sending a “strong message” to enemies.

In anticipation of the bill’s passage, the Biden administration has prepared the first shipment of military aid to Ukraine, worth about $1 billion, to be sent as early as this week. It includes artillery shells, anti-aircraft munitions and armored vehicles. Weapons and equipment will be taken from existing stockpiles in the US and Europe. In the first comments, military experts from Ukraine said that the resumption of US arms supplies will allow the Ukrainian armed forces to stabilize the front line and accumulate resources for a new attempt at a large-scale counteroffensive, reports UNIAN.

Last night, Russia again subjected the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv to missile fire.

Mayor Igor Terekhov reported that two people were slightly injured when the windows of four residential buildings were broken. Loud explosions were also heard in Odessa. The city was attacked with cruise missiles, local channels reported in the Telegram application. Residents were left without electricity in some parts of the city.
