Interdepartmental unit to counteract crimes against political rights of citizens created the District Prosecutor’s Office-Burgas, the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs-Burgas and the Territorial Directorate “National Security”-Burgas. It will have a scope of action until 11.06.2024 – the day after the holding of the elections for members of the European Parliament and those for Bulgarian national representatives.

The district and regional prosecutors participate in the interdepartmental unit Burgas Georgi Chinev and Maria Markova, senior commissioner Emil Pavlov – director of the OD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs-Burgas and Lyubomir Valkov – director of the TD “NS”-Burgas.

The idea of ​​creating the structure is to coordinate the activities of the formed duty units in the three institutions in order to ensure full interaction between them. The participants will also exchange information with RIC-Burgas. The data received from the duty units in the three institutions will be analyzed and summarized in order to achieve maximum countermeasures against the crimes against the political rights of the citizens on the territory of the entire Burgas region.
