An interdepartmental unit for combating crimes against the political rights of citizens was established by the District Prosecutor’s Office-Burgas, the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs-Burgas and the TD “NS”-Burgas. It will have a scope of action until 11.06.2024 – the day after the elections for members of the European Parliament and those for Bulgarian people’s representatives.

The district and district prosecutor of Burgas Georgi Chinev and Maria Markova, senior commissioner Emil Pavlov – director of the OD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs-Burgas and Lyubomir Valkov – director of the TD “NS”-Burgas participate in the interagency unit.

The idea of ​​creating the structure is to coordinate the activities of the formed duty units in the three institutions in order to ensure full interaction between them. The participants will also exchange information with RIC-Burgas. The data received from the duty units in the three institutions will be analyzed and summarized in order to achieve maximum countermeasures against the crimes against the political rights of the citizens on the territory of the entire Burgas region.
