The US Congress has approved the defense packages that have been trying to be agreed for months. He passed the $95 billion package, including a defense package for Israel and Ukraine and a support package for Taiwan. The package, which aims to strengthen Israel’s air defense systems and provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs, will become law after Biden’s signature.
In the US, the $95 billion National Security Supplemental Bill was passed by Congress.
The national security supplemental bill, which includes defense packages of $26.4 billion for Israel, $60.8 billion for Ukraine and an $8 billion support package for Taiwan, was approved.
The package includes additional ammunition and military equipment for Israel’s air defense system, defense materials and additional material support for the US weapons depot in Israel.
The bill also passed a $9 billion package of humanitarian support for conflict zones, including Gaza.
The Ukrainian part of the package includes two titles.
A third of the package is intended to replace weapons previously sent to Ukraine from US arsenals.
The bill requires the Biden administration to submit a report on the future goal to be achieved in Ukraine within 45 days.
The supplemental national security bill also includes a possible ban on TikTok.
China-based ByteDance has been given 9 months to sell TikTok to an American company.
If TikTok, which has the most users in the US with 150 million, is not sold, it will be banned across the country after this period.
The bill in question will become law after US President Biden signs it.
