“BSP successfully unites the parties from the left and patriotic political space. We are going to show it on May 1 with a big meeting that we are organizing with parties from the left, the center, the patriotic sector.” This was stated by the deputy chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov in the program “Crossroads” on NOVA.
According to him, Vanya Grigorova is the most recent example of a person who used the BSP to realize his own political ambitions.
“Vanya Grigorova achieved her result in Sofia thanks to the BSP and she will very quickly find out that without the BSP her result will be completely different,” emphasized Zafirov.
According to him, the messages of the left must be clothed with content, otherwise they would remain just empty talk.
“He cannot be a left-wing person who has lied to his voters four times in two months. Once she lied to the people who voted for her, and in the first week she joined the assembly and the people who cut monuments. You cannot be a left-wing person if you lie to the members of the parties that raised and supported you. You can’t be a left-wing person and lie to nurses and workers by promising to raise their wages, and your first job is to raise your own,” the socialist said categorically.
“The BSP is the only party that did not give in to the temptations and did not budge an inch in its battle against the GERB model.” This is what we will offer to voters. Anyone who is ready to support us in this fight is welcome to join us. And anyone who makes any other delicate calculations, let him try his luck and see what the result will be,” Atanas Zafirov said.
Regarding the lists for the upcoming elections, Zafirov commented that the BSP concluded that people should not be imposed at any cost.
“The BSP voters suffered another disappointment in the face of Elena Yoncheva. This is no surprise to us. Our relationship with her ended a long time ago, and now it is clear that we were right,” he pointed out.
According to him, Yoncheva’s struggles against corruption were theater, and her promotion from the DPS – a moral problem.
“This is also a public problem, because it demotivates Bulgarian citizens and they stop trusting politicians. Here is an example of people who cause absolute damage to the political system as a whole,” Zafirov also said regarding the MEP.
And he was categorical that for the upcoming elections BSP is not looking for quantity, but quality – valuable people who can protect interests, even when they are subjected to great temptations.
“In the list there will be a mixture of both familiar and sufficiently new faces, but precisely and carefully – people who can actually stand up for causes without betraying them,” emphasized Atanas Zafirov.
