The head coach of Ludogorets Georgi Dermendzhiev commented on his team’s 4:0 victory over Heber in the first semi-final between the two teams for the Bulgarian Cup.

“The boys are growing up, we talk a lot. I can say it was a very good game for us. The result is a tournament and it is good. There’s one more game where we have to approach it the same way,” the Eagles coach said. “For me, it is important that in such matches the team starts at 100%. They understood that they had to do it, and the result is in the open,” he added.

He commented on Anton Nedyalkov’s return to the first team: “Tony Nedyalkov is a very good footballer. We agreed in advance that he will play one half and gradually we will give him more minutes to recover to 100%.”

“It’s a very good competition because I don’t rely on one person to score the goals. You saw the combinability in the one goal, that’s our game,” he said.

“We can’t beat ourselves up, we’re really looking towards the final. “Football has brought many surprises and we must be serious in the other match as well,” said the coach of Ludogorets.

“We are waiting there to see who the opponent will be,” he said about the other semi-final pair Botev Plovdiv – CSKA.

“True, that’s it, I want this year to do a double again and we’ll see what happens,” admitted Dermendzhiev.
