“Dear colleagues, it was an honor for me to be the chairman of the 49th National Assembly. Thank you!” concluded Rosen Zhelyazkov, and thunderous applause echoed in the hall.
Visibly moved, Rositsa Kirova broke down in tears after Rosen Zhelyazkov’s address. With a trembling voice, she proposed to move to a vote on the draft decision by which Rosen Zhelyazkov will no longer be the chairman of the 49th National Assembly.
129 people voted for, 103 against. Thus Zhelyazkov was removed from the post.
