It started in infamy and it ends in infamy. It ends shamefully, because we witnessed another extremely ugly scandal between GERB, on the one hand, and DPS and PP-DB, on the other hand, in which it was not about politics, but about positions, posts. It’s as if we witnessed a redistribution of the territory of the criminal contingent and a gangster war. The truth is, nothing that needed to be said was said, except in the speech we did, from Revival. Namely, that the resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov should have been requested a long time ago, due to systemic violations,” added Kostadinov.
SafeNews recalls that deputies accepted the early release of Rosen Zhelyazkov as Speaker of the 49th National Assembly. 129 MPs voted “for” and 103 were against. There were no abstentions. On Wednesday, a draft decision for the early release of Zhelyazkov, submitted and signed by deputies from PP-DB and BSP, was submitted to the parliament. Cases of violation of the parliamentary rules were cited as arguments, including the introduction of an extraordinary point for the release of the head of the NHIF, although he refused the submitted resignation, as well as the reluctance of the Zhelyazkov National Assembly to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide with a moment of silence.
“There is a thought of a great aphorist who says that sometimes you have to be silent in order to be heard. We are all human in this room. But people who are sent by other people to work for people. As humans, we have our weaknesses and passions. But as people’s representatives we must have responsibility, accountability and integrity. And another quality that we sometimes lose – humanity. Because these people who are among us expect from us solutions for their future and families,” Zhelyazkov said from the rostrum.
