From today until May 7, the CEC accepts documents for registration of candidate lists for MEPs

Starting today, April 25, the Central Election Commission (CEC) begins accepting documents for the registration of candidate lists for members of the European Parliament (EP) from the Republic of Bulgaria, the CEC announced. The deadline for accepting documents is May 7.

The CEC also starts accepting documents for the registration of initiative committees for the nomination of independent candidates for members of the European Parliament from the Republic of Bulgaria from today. The deadline for accepting documents is April 29.

As of today, the CEC also begins accepting documents for registration of admission or registration of parties and coalitions to participate in new elections for mayors and municipal councilors on June 23. The deadline for accepting documents is May 8.

The documents will be accepted in the building of the National Assembly, “Knyaz Alexander I” square No. 1, in the lobby, “Largo” entrance, and in view of the upcoming holidays and weekends, the CEC will accept documents on May 1, 2, 4 and 6, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On May 3 and 5, 2024, the CEC will not accept documents.

The deadline for parties and coalitions to submit to the CEC an application for registration to participate in the elections for members of the EP from the Republic of Bulgaria and/or for people’s representatives was until 17:00 yesterday.
