The “Bozdugan-29” action was carried out in Hatay, Yalova, Konya, Yozgat, Canakkale, Sakaria and Tekirdag districts. The largest number of detainees are in Hatay – a total of 10 people, Yerlikaya pointed out.

In the period from June 1, 2023 to April 22, 2024, a total of 1,422 operations against ISIS were conducted in Turkey, during which 2,991 suspects were detained. 718 of them were placed under permanent arrest.

In 2013, Turkey was one of the first countries to include ISIS in its list of terrorist organizations, BTA correspondent Nora Çolakova reports. Since then, the country has been repeatedly targeted by the group, with at least 10 suicide bombings, seven bombings and four armed attacks, killing at least 300 people and injuring hundreds more.
