Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that a possible Russian attack on NATO would end in Russia’s defeat.

Sikorsky outlined the priorities of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government, which is trying to show leadership in Europe amid growing fears that Russian aggression will not stop in Ukraine.

The minister emphasized that Poland’s development and security should be based on transatlantic cooperation and European integration, stressing the importance of friendship with Germany, TVP World reported.

He accused the previous government of the Law and Justice party, which led Poland from 2015 to 2023, of choosing “confrontation with the EU”.

“For more than two years, Ukraine has been fighting against an aggressor across our eastern border whose goal is not only the destruction of Ukrainian independence. Russia seeks to overthrow the international order established after 1989 – to replace the logic of law and voluntary alliances with the logic of power, spheres of influence and dictation over neighbors. Vladimir Putin openly talks about this,” noted the top Polish diplomat.

Sikorsky also touched on the current challenges facing his country, including the tactics of hybrid aggression, such as disinformation campaigns, cyber attacks, exploitation of energy dependencies and migration pressures.

“In these difficult conditions, cooperation is necessary not only within the ruling coalition, but also with those representatives of the opposition who are ready to cooperate,” stressed Radoslav Sikorski, quoted by BGNES
