The two lived on a family basis

The Varna Court of Appeal upheld the life sentence of a man for the brutal murder of the woman with whom he lived on a family basis, reported dariknews.bg. Abil Adil committed the crime in a particularly painful way for the victim. He lived with Silvia, who was 14 years older than him, in the village of Chernoglavtsi. He often consumed alcohol in large quantities, after which he showed physical aggression towards the woman. She repeatedly left the family home and stayed with relatives, but then returned to Abil, who promised that he would stop beating her.

In 2022, Abil publicly hit Sylvia several times, accusing her of cheating. The two returned to their home, where the aggression escalated. The man brutally beat Silvia, hitting her with his fists, with a fireplace tongs, kicking her, cutting her ear and burning her with a cigarette.

Later, the man noticed that her condition was deteriorating, but did not seek medical help. When he realized that Sylvia would not survive, he left the village. Five days later, the woman’s lifeless body was discovered by his minor son.

The woman’s autopsy found multiple multiple trauma injuries, including multiple broken ribs. Immediate cause of death was severe head injury.
