Bulgaria will face favorites Croatia and Turkey in the final two matches of the group stage of the European Women’s Under-20 Volleyball Championship. Sofia and the Hristo Botev Hall will host Group I matches between August 5 and 13. The final four will also be held in the capital, and the champion will be decided on August 17.

All matches of the young Bulgarian women, with the exception of the last match, start at 17:30 (or the third match of the day’s program).

“We start against Sweden, who won their zonal qualification. The program includes two days off – August 8 and 11. In the last match, we face the strong team of Turkey, which last year played in the final of the Women’s Under-19 World Cup. The match is from 8:00 p.m.,” reported BFVolleyball on Thursday.

Bulgaria is the co-host of the age group championship together with the Republic of Ireland.

Euro 2024 Women’s U20 (August 5-17) features 16 teams, which are divided into two groups of 8. In the first phase, they will play in a round-robin format.

The first and second place finishers in the final standings move on. The two teams from the two groups play cross-over in the eliminations. In Group II are Serbia, Poland, Italy, Finland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Portugal and the hosts from the Republic of Ireland.
