A charity exhibition “Art against violence” will be opened at the Institute of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer (IISTT) “Prof. Dr. Borislav Borisov” at UNSS. The event will take place on April 25, according to the organizers.

The exhibition is organized by IISTT, NATFIZ “Krastyo Sarafov” and the Bulgarian Film Institute. “During the exhibition, unique professional photos will be sold and videos with amazing natural and architectural sights of the Bulgarian municipalities will be projected,” the team notes.

The exhibition will be opened by the rector of UNSS, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Dr. Ivan Nachev, Acting director of IISTT, the Minister of Justice, Mrs. Maria Pavlova and Mrs. Nataliya Ilieva, President of the National Bureau of Legal Aid. The event will be attended by mayors of municipalities, representatives of state institutions, businesses, celebrities from the creative industries and many others.

They note that the funds received from purchased photos will be donated to the “Alarm Clocks” foundation, which is committed to the protection of women – victims of domestic violence, which is an unacceptable phenomenon in any society. “IISTT unites the two creative industries – photography and film, and the academic community, students and guests together express their responsibility, position and support for their cause”, they add.

In a congratulatory address to the IISTT by the chairman of the 49th National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, the selfless initiative, the organizers and the participants are welcomed for supporting this noble cause and emphasizes: “Giving public attention to the problems related to violence, especially in a protected environment, what the home is like is extremely important… Art lies in the fact that, through its visible beauty and invisible emotional connection with the viewer, it influences public attitudes, contrasts unacceptable phenomena and builds intolerance towards them. I hope this initiative will attract many supporters and volunteers who will relentlessly work against violence and actively defend the right to human dignity and a dignified life.”
