For BGN 20,000 – two members of Dinko’s criminal group from Yambol were released – Criminal

The Burgas Court of Appeal overturned a decision of the Yambol District Court and issued a measure of remand “cash guarantee” in the amount of BGN 10,000 each against Grigor G. and Stoiko K. They are accused of participating in an organized criminal group led by Mr. Valev, under -known as Dinko of Yambol.

According to the investigation, the group has been active since October 2021. until 16.04.2024, was created for a selfish purpose and for the purpose of the participants to commit crimes in the country under art. 213a and art. 214 of the Criminal Code – extortion.

According to the Court of Appeal, there is evidence of illegal behavior on the part of the two defendants, but the evidence available during the pre-trial proceedings is not sufficient to justify detention in custody. There is also no evidence of actual behavior aimed at hiding or committing another crime.

At the same time, Dinko Valev was charged today. This happened when a prosecutor visited one of the Burgas hospitals, where the refugee hunter has been receiving treatment for nearly a week, sources told “24 Chasa”.

On the other hand, the Court of Appeals specified that the purpose of restraint measures, defined in Article 57 of the Criminal Procedure Code – to prevent an accused person from absconding, committing a crime or thwarting the enforcement of an effective sentence, can be achieved to a sufficient extent and with a lighter measure of remand for each of them.

The appellate court found that the measure of remand “cash guarantee” for each of them is adequate to the charges raised, the evidence collected and the defendants themselves.

Since materials collected by special intelligence tools were attached to the case, the court session was held behind closed doors.
