The member of the Metropolitan Municipal Council (SOC) Proshko Proshkov gave an interview to BNT, in which he commented on today’s decision to transfer the “Georgi Asparuhov” stadium and two other facilities from state to municipal ownership.
In front of our camera, the chairman of the Commission for Engineering Infrastructure and Energy Planning specified that today’s actions were only “prior consent” and now the state’s opinion on the case is awaited.
“Today we only give preliminary consent. If the relevant principals to the state, who are the owners of these lands, decide to transfer them to the municipality, we will make them public municipal property. From then on, we expect the mayor to propose a concept for their development,” commented Proshko Proshkov.
Today’s decision of the SOS is considered the next important step for PFC Levski on the path of the “blues” to the acquisition of “Gerena”, which will continue the club to start activities on the construction of a new stadium.
