“Regarding the case with customs – why didn’t we see the photos of Kalin Stoyanov with the young man Stefan Dimitrov? I know they are friends. We only see photos of Zhivko Kotsev. Have you seen photos of Zhivko Kotsev with a tutu? No. We only see the poodle. The photo with the watch was a gift for Kotsev’s birthday, he should have declared the watch, it is morally reprehensible. If anyone should be blamed for the bundles at the moment, it should be the poodle,” the MP pointed out.
According to him, the only certain thing at the moment is that Bankova knows Stefan Dimitrov.
“I want to see if there will be proven charges against Bankova. Or the case with Nexo will repeat itself. I had hoped that Sarafov would act differently than Geshev, but we see that he acts along exactly the same lines. It turns out that optimism I was not justified. I categorically believe that Zhivko Kotsev has nothing to do with smuggling,” stressed Academician Denkov.
Asked how he managed in that complicated situation, the former prime minister explained that his fundamental guide was the government’s program.
“Every day it was a huge struggle to push these people to follow this program. And by the end of December, we were successful. I’ve passed a bunch of stupid politicians’ innuendo because my goal was to get the job done. When we saw in January that the job it doesn’t work, we came up with our Memorandum. Then certain people did not agree with us. The possibility of us working on the original agreement was on the table all the time, and it was just us and Maria-Gabriel changing places,” the deputy pointed out. from PP-DB.
Regarding the money under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan and why the second tranche is being delayed, Academician Denkov noted that in fact the plan we are working on was submitted by the regular government of Kiril Petkov.
“Bulgaria failed to take BGN 1.5 billion, which could have been used for repayment. If GERB had done their job, they would have had reasons to criticize us. I have nothing to justify,” he added.
The former Prime Minister added that almost every person in Bulgaria during his administration was touched in a positive way. According to him, with few exceptions, every single group of people got something positive.
