The veteran team of Vitosha (Bistrica) with former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov in the squad, aiming for the eighth consecutive championship title, will meet Botev (Vratsa) in the semi-finals of this year’s championship.

The draw for the final four was drawn today in BFS and pitted Vitosha (Bistrica – Sofia-city) – Botev (Vratsa) and Botev (Plovdiv) – Black Sea (Varna).

The stadiums for the semi-finals, dates and kick-off times will become clear early next week. The winners of the competitions will be broadcast in one match, and in the event of a tie in regular time, it will go to a penalty shootout. Last year, Vitosha (Bistrica) and Botev (Plovdiv) met for the title, and this year it can be repeated. Then the people of Bystrica won 5:3, and Borisov, who already plays as a left winger, shined with an assist for the fifth goal in the match, the work of Georgi Peev. The match took place at the then newly opened Hristo Botev stadium in the City under the hills.

To reach the final four, the teams first play in the cities and regions, then move on to the zone stage. The winners of the four zones compete for the veterans’ cup.
