EU-Africa relations and Russian aggression against Ukraine were discussed at an informal meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU member states in the form of “Gymnich” in Prague, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced.
The event took place on August 30 and 31, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova took part in it.
Traditionally, the forum is hosted by the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU and chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Petrova also participated in the opening of the accompanying event “Forum for Ukraine”, part of “Forum 2000”, which takes place in Prague from August 31 to September 2, 2022. Among the participants and guests of the event are a number of political and public leaders, including the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petar Fiala, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavsky, as well as the participants of the “Gymnich”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced.
