All or nothing for Pencho Tsvetkov! Following the example of Borislav Velev, the undefeated Bulgarian heavyweight boxer will face a classy rival at a big gala evening in Liverpool this Saturday.
He will fight against the Englishman Fraser Clarke (2 wins, 2 by knockout). The 31-year-old giant is a bronze medalist from the London Olympics. He won the “Strandja” tournament and the European Union championship in Sofia in 2014.
The scheduling of this match is quite an interesting move as Tsvetkov had another fight scheduled for July 16 against Kubrat Pulev’s former sparring partner Albon Pervitsai. Three weeks before the match, Tsvetkov suffered an arm injury, and the match was postponed for the second time. He worked very hard at a special camp in Sofia, where he sparred with Petar Belberov and Kiril Borsov.
Fraser Clarke also had arm problems earlier in the year. He underwent surgery in March and last fought on July 30, when he took down Argentine champion Ariel Bracamonte in just two rounds.
Tsvetkov (7 wins, 5 by knockout) said that after the match he will comment on all the circumstances surrounding the upcoming fight. Evgeni Vassilev will be in his corner.
The match between the Bulgarian and Fraser Clarke is the third in the televised card of the show, whose starting time is 21.00.
