The G7 officially announced a ceiling on Russian oil prices

“Today, we reaffirm our joint political intent to finalize and implement a comprehensive ban on services that enable the maritime transportation of Russian-origin crude oil and petroleum products worldwide – the provision of such services will only be permitted if the oil and petroleum products are purchased on or below a certain price (“price ceiling”) set by the broad coalition of countries that adhere to and enforce the price ceiling,” said the statement by the finance ministers of Britain, France, Italy, Germany, the US, Canada and Japan.
