Deputies from both houses of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s parliament will meet today with a Turkish delegation led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Dnevni Avaz newspaper reports, noting that Erdogan will arrive in Sarajevo with his wife and nine ministers.
The last time the Turkish president visited Bosnia and Herzegovina was in August last year. The delegation of Turkey will arrive at the Sarajevo airport at 12 o’clock. The Serbian member of the Bosnian presidency, Milorad Dodik, said that during Erdogan’s visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, he will talk with him about projects related to the Belgrade-Sarajevo-Belgrade highway, Tanjug reported.
Dodik stated that some sections of this highway are already being built in the Republika Srpska, while in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina this is not being done. Dodik said it will be interesting to hear what Erdogan thinks about global issues, especially given that Turkey has an impressive position on the Ukraine crisis.
Dodik said Erdogan is a great statesman and so far has shown a very clear position in everything and respects everyone.
Erdogan arrives on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of a regional tour, during which he will visit Serbia and Croatia, where he will attend the grand opening of an Islamic center and mosque in Sisak.
