Part of Stara Zagora will remain without water today until 17:00. The reason is the implementation of a project under the Operational Program “Environment” for the reconstruction of the water supply and sewerage network in Stara Zagora. This was announced by the press center of “Water Supply and Sewerage” EOOD Stara Zagora, BTA reports.
Users will be without water in the square of streets: south from Augusta Traiana St. to Tsar Simeon Veliki Blvd. and east from St. Patriarch Euthymius” by the river Bedechka; to the north from “Augusta Trayana” street to “Radecki” street and to the east from “St. Patriarch Euthymius” next to “Ivan Vazov” Street; to the north from Augusta Trayana St. to Khan Asparuh St. and to the west from St. Patriarch Evtimii” to “Tsar Ivan Shishman” St. to the north from “Khan Asparuh” St. to Zagorka AD; Quarter “Samara” 3; to the south from Augusta Trayana St. to Gen Stoletov Blvd. and to the east from Dimitar Naumov St. to St. Partriarch Euthymius”; to the west from “Dimitar Naumov” St. to “Alexander Batenberg” St. and to the south from “Augusta Trayana” St. to “General Stoletov” Blvd.; to the west from “Dimitar Naumov” street to “Dr. Todor Stoyanovich” street and to the south from “General Stoletov” boulevard to “Tsar Simeon the Great” boulevard; to the east from “Armeyska” street to “Dr. Todor Stoyanovich” street and to the south from “St. Prince Boris” next to “Tsar Simeon the Great” Blvd.; to the east from “Odrinska Epopeya” St. to “Dimcho Staev” St. and to the south from “Tsar Simeon the Great” Blvd. to “Slavyanski” Blvd.; to the north from Radetsky St. to Lokomotiv Stadium and south from Khan Asparuh St. to Ivan Vazov St.; to the east from Dimcho Staev St. to the Bedechka River and to the south from Tsar Simeon Veliki Blvd. to Slavyanska St.; to the east from “Anastasia Tosheva” St. to “St. Patriarch Euthymius” and to the south from “Slavyanska” street to railway lines; to the west from Anastasia Tosheva St. to Kapitan Petko Voivoda St. and to the south from Slavyanska St. to Kaloyanovsko Shose and from Kaloyanovsko Shosse to the Lukoil base.
During the project, which is implemented by “Water Supply and Sewerage” Ltd., replacement of over 40 kilometers of water supply network and reconstruction of nearly 17 kilometers of the sewage network in the city of Stara Zagora will take place. A total of 14 water metering zones are planned in the central districts of the city, where supplied and consumed water will be measured, flow rate and pressure will be monitored. The goal is to relieve the network and prevent it from overflowing during intense rains.
The project will be implemented by the end of 2023 in the cities of Stara Zagora, Kazanlak, Chirpan and Radnevo. Its total value is nearly BGN 122 million and is financed under the Operational Program “Environment” 2014-2020, co-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union under a direct grant procedure.
