In the municipality of Pleven, 915 first-graders entered the classrooms today. They are one hundred less than last school year, when 1015 children were admitted to the schools in the municipality in the first grade. This is shown by the data of the “Education” department in the municipality of Pleven, from where they specify that the indicated number is approximate, as it is possible to enroll more students.
Ninety-nine first-graders crossed the threshold of the Primary School “Patriarch Euthymius” in Pleven. They are divided into four classes, the director of the school, Vesela Yotova, told BTA. The school welcomes the new school year with renovated sanitary facilities and renovated classrooms, in which more than 370 students from the first to the fourth grade will have classes. Yotova wished the year to be successful, calm and, above all, present.
To be motivated and successful in order to please their parents and be useful to themselves, the Mayor of Pleven Municipality Georg Spartanski wished the students on the occasion of September 15 through an address on his personal Facebook page.
“The beginning of the school year is always a special day, because it is a symbolic beginning of the path to new knowledge. Therefore, on this day, I want to tell you one thing above all – be healthy, accumulate knowledge, because a good education is a capital that no one it can’t be taken away from you!”, says the chairman of the Municipal Council, Martin Mitev, in his greeting to teachers, students and parents.
As BTA wrote, 1860 first-graders were admitted in the Pleven region, of which 141 were six-year-olds. A total of 103 schools and 76 kindergartens, six personal development support centers and two special educational support centers are opening their doors today for the new school year 2022/2023.
