“The measures we propose, first everyone attacks them, and then it is seen that the measures not only got people through the crises, but also that they are starting to introduce them in Europe.” This was stated by the leader of the “BSP for Bulgaria” list ” in Sofia region Ivan Chenchev in the show “The Day On Air” on Bulgaria On Air. This was announced by the press center of the BSP.

“We have no time left to introduce all our proposals. One such thing we will fight for is free textbooks for children from 1st to 12th grade,” added Chenchev.

In response to a question about whether the potential coalition partners would agree with the BSP’s social measures, the socialist recalled that during the negotiations for a coalition agreement, Asen Vassilev did not want free nurseries and kindergartens, and now “We continue the change” are bragging about them.

Regarding who the BSP will negotiate with after the elections, Chenchev said: “Once the elections are over, we will put our program on the table and see who agrees to implement a large part of it, because it is about caring for people, it is about protecting business , it’s about getting the country through the crises.”

“No coalition with GERB and DPS. That has not changed,” the socialist added.

He recalled that in the last days of the 47th Parliament, the coalition partners had drawn up a program according to which the legal changes needed to absorb the funds under the Recovery and Resilience Plan had to be adopted by dates and weeks.

“Due to the interests of this and that, the maximum amount of the amount that was allocated under this plan for Bulgaria will not be able to be absorbed, but we will do our best until the end of the year to pass as many laws as possible in order to receive the December tranche month”, assured the candidate for national representative from the left.

Ivan Chenchev commented on the work of the four ministers of the BSP in the previous administration, stating: “In just 7 months, they achieved the kind of results that Europe is talking about – growth in tourism, growth in the economy – first in industry and fourth in GDP. Plant breeders and animal breeders say that such care for them has never existed before, and Minister Gyokov has prepared the most social budget that modern Bulgaria has ever seen.”

Chenchev emphasized that for the left it is important that natural gas comes at the cheapest price for Bulgaria, which is why it is necessary to negotiate with all suppliers, including Gazprom. According to him, Gazprom is a reliable supplier because they can immediately released the gas for Bulgaria. “Everything is a matter of negotiation,” he noted.
