/KROSS/ From September 23 to 25, Yambol will once again immerse itself in history with the ninth International Fair of Tourist Entertainment and Animation -2022, organized by the Yambol Municipality and the Regional History Museum – Yambol. In the three days, spectators will have the opportunity to see an exhibition, a futuristic light show, historical reenactments by groups from the country and abroad, children’s workshops, gladiator fights, a box theater, a revue-performance, a game with the audience and a shadow theater.

The International Tourism Exhibition “Kabile 2022” will be held within the framework of the fair. The events are part of the European Heritage Days initiative. The official opening will take place tomorrow, September 23, at 19:00 with the exhibition “From the Steppes to the Balkans… study of burial mounds in the Yambol region” in the Cultural and Information Center “Bezisten”.

The exposition was realized within the project “From the steppes to the Balkans. The Pit Culture in Thrace”, funded by the National Science Center – Krakow, Poland. The project was implemented thanks to the scientific cooperation agreement between the Regional History Museum – Yambol and the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology at the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The exhibition presents the results of the joint Bulgarian-Polish archaeological surveys of burial mounds along the middle and lower reaches of the Tundzha River. During the implementation of the project in the period 2018 – 2021, 5 burial mounds from the Early Bronze Age, the Thracian and the Roman eras were studied in the lands of the villages of Drazevo, Zimnitsa, Malomirovo and Mogila.

The curators of the exhibition “From the steppes to the Balkans… a study of grave mounds in the Yambol region” are Dr. Todor Valchev and Assoc. Dr. Piotr Vlodarczak. The artistic layout is the work of designer Tanya Koseva.
The event is part of the official opening program of the 9th International Tourist Entertainment and Animation Fair

The exhibition will be a guest at the “Bezisten” Cultural and Information Center until the end of October. During the opening of the exhibition, the catalog of the same name will be presented.
After that, at 20:30 in front of the Yambol Municipality building, the light show “Quazar” by the special guest of the fair – the troupe “Palyachi – fire and light show” will begin. Its action takes place in a time when the inhabitants of Earth and aliens want to explore new territories. History will be recreated with the latest lighting props.

On Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25, the natural scenery for the fair will be the Archaeological Reserve “Thracian and Ancient City of Kabyle”. On both days, the spectators will become empathetic to the life of people during Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Reenactors from Bulgaria and Serbia The audience will see not only whirlwind battles, but will also get to know the peaceful everyday life of our ancestors.

The organizers have also thought about people who do not have private cars. The schedule of the bus lines on the two weekends, which will run along the route Yambol – village of Kabile – AR “Thracian and ancient city of Kabile” – village of Hadjidimitrovo and in the opposite direction, will depart from the bus station in Yambol at 8:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m., 6:05 p.m. and 7:40 p.m., and from the village of Hadjidimitrovo – at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 6:35 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.

10:00 – 12:00 / Children’s workshops and studios. Guests can visit the advertising stands and watch the presentations of the participants in the “Kabile 2022” Tourist Exhibition.
