The company unveiled a detailed new AI model that can take a still image of a face and an audio clip of a person speaking and automatically create a realistic-looking video.
The results of the artificial intelligence model, called VASA-1, are both amusing and startling in their reality. Microsoft said the technology could be used for education and “improving accessibility for people with communication problems,” or potentially to create virtual companions.
