The former footballer Slaveyko has gone through all the units in the kitchen. He has shown attention to detail in the kitchen and food, but is yet another member of the Blues team this season in Hell’s Kitchen. The chef tells a reporter of “Na Kafe” more about the emotions and challenges in the show. He admits that he was sad to be eliminated from the show before the final, as he had ambitions to reach at least a black jacket. He was more hesitant at first, but gradually gained confidence in his skills as a chef. Due to ridiculous mistakes made, he had to leave the show.
Is he happy with his development in Hell’s Kitchen?
“I started hesitant, pulled myself together and built up. I showed Chef Angelov that I deserve to be in the kitchen. I was myself on the show and I haven’t changed. I was one of the leaders, but that’s how I am in life. I have always taken risks and must have annoyed others because they wanted to be in my shoes. But they didn’t have the heart to do it,” he commented on his upgrade process on the show.

“I always tried to impress the boss with every dish. I might have succeeded with the vegetarian plate or the dessert – millefeuille. I managed to consolidate my position and my place in Hell’s Kitchen,” admits Slavejko.
The chef befriends Dimitar on the show and when he sees that sparks fly between his friend and Simona, he gives up his place for Mitko to visit his beloved’s family.
If he could change one thing about his performance, it would be to be a little more relaxed. He admits that he participated in Hell’s Kitchen because of his daughter. “I wanted to show her that she should never give up and always fight in life. That was my ambition and I wanted to win the cooking reality show because of it. I wanted her to be proud of her father one day.”

About your path in cooking
“The hardest thing for me was always being away from my family. I was ambitious to show the French that with a lot of work I could be above them. I showed them that we Bulgarians can be the first.”
Who is his favorite to win?
“Dimitar has proven that he has a lot of skills and experience, he also likes to take risks. His dishes are always wonderful and he has ideas, so I think he should win Hell’s Kitchen,” Slavejko opined.
