Andrea Piazzolla, the former personal assistant of the late Gina Lollobrigida, said he had run out of money and could not pay child support for his first son. In a letter to the Kronos news agency, the Italian explained that it was “absolutely true that he owes money for the support of his first son Manuel”, but that unfortunately this was not up to his will, as he was unemployed and had difficulty finding work due to the many critical publications about him. “I undertake from now on to do what is due, as soon as I am able to do so.”

According to the mother of his first child, Sarah, the 36-year-old Piazzolla owes 80,000 euros in child support. The amount has accumulated over the years, considering that the father has to pay 300 euros per month for his son. The film star’s former assistant, who was sentenced at first instance to three years in prison for exploiting her vulnerability to her detriment, said the media hype around him had prevented him from finding any work. “Based on publications in the media, the Tax Agency is asking me for 1.5 million euros,” Piazzola added, as quoted by “Republika”.

He asked the mother of his first-born son not to make public statements so as not to hurt him, considering that he is still a school-going boy.

Gina Lollobrigida died on January 16, 2023 at the age of 95 in Rome. Her assistant Piazzola was by her side until the end. His ex-fiancée Sarah Uriera filed a lawsuit against him over the fact that he never gave her a euro for their son’s child support. According to her, Piazzolla met Lollobrigida even while the two betrothed were living together. Sara said that Piazzolla was at her home without paying anything and that he was supported by her because he did not work.
