The former presenter wanted to get a disability category because of her eye problems. Last year, after a major operation, she completely lost her sight with one of them. Her wish is for the state to grant her a personal assistant to help her in her daily life.

Although Yanakieva had to appear again in his office, she categorically refused.

The legendary speaker was not so lonely until her husband came to mind. All their heirs are scattered abroad, but they take care of her from a distance, and when they come for holidays in Bulgaria, Yanakieva is the happiest.
Her daughter is married to Alexander – the son of the People’s Artist Stefan Elenkov, who has sung on all the major world opera stages – from New York to Moscow. Two years ago, Yanakieva lost her husband Vesco Tsonevski, with whom they had a very strong relationship, and he was the great support in her life. The man of the BNT legend sang for many years in the famous men’s choir “Gusla”, and Yanakieva says that until his last breath, music was everything for him.
