The performer of the famous hit for Vasko the Frog – Angel Pavlov, comes off the stage.
This was announced to the “Telegraph” by the head of the “Kamchia” orchestra, Boris Ivanov. The singer and the musicians had their last joint appearance at a wedding in Varna on August 20, when he informed them of his decision.
“He is now 52 years old and wants to rest more, so he retired from the orchestra. This was after the last interview we gave to NOVA. That’s what he decided, there’s nothing we can do. He works as a dance accompanist composition in a school in Varna and will continue to deal only with this”, declared Boris Ivanov, who is the eldest son of the founders of the “Kamchia” orchestra – Maria and Ivan Ivanovi.
“I called him yesterday that he was wanted by Serbian TV for an interview, but he refused and did not return my call later,” added Marin Marinov, the publisher of the latest hit “Combine Thresher”. He also shared that in one of their last conversations, Angel Pavlov hinted to him that he wanted to get off the stage. “He said that he is very worried about this sudden super popularity that has come upon him. He doesn’t want to sing at weddings anymore. He also told me that he wants to retire from the school where he works and live peacefully. That’s why he refused a guest appearance on the most watched music channel – Pink TV,” Marinov also said.
