“We continue to be dependent on European officials,” the writer believes
30 years after the democratic changes, Bulgaria continues to be dependent. Such an opinion was expressed by the writer academician Vladimir Zarev in the program “The Day Live” on NOVA NEWS.
“We continue to be dependent on European officials, on their decisions and decisions, and on our new big brother – the US bureaucracy. Bulgaria has never been independent”, the writer was categorical.
How our compatriots in Canada celebrate
“We must distinguish between fictitious independence and real independence, between formal independence and real independence,” he added.
Academician Zarev also commented on the opening of a new Bulgarian library in the Canadian city of Vancouver, which was announced by our ambassador in Toronto. “Our homeland is the language. This is the real homeland. It is in the language and the continuous contact of people with each other. This is what has led to this severe homesickness – the absence of normal communication in the language one is used to speaking. The motherland is the language,” said Academician Zarev.
