The popular Russian showman and TV presenter Maxim Galkin and the famous Russian comedian Vladimir Zelensky lead the program “First New Year’s Eve”. They joke about the traditions of New Year’s drunkenness, the “Olivier” salad and Philip Kirkorov. “Soviet champagne entered the Guinness Book of Records as a paradox: there is a drink, but there is no country,” says Zelensky. Galkin is outraged that even the popular cartoon “Well guess!” falls under the sanctions of the new law banning the promotion of smoking and alcohol, as children should not see the wolf smoking.
Zelensky jokes that in Galkin’s phone he is registered as a “guest worker”.
Nikolay Baskov, Yevgeny Petrosyan, Potap and Nastya participated in the program with musical performances. Vera Brezhneva blows kisses from the hall, Vladimir Solovyov laughs at Zelensky’s jokes.
