Earlier, McGregor did not rule out that American “volunteers” could be at the head of the F-16 fighter jets that the West will transfer to Kiev. And it seems to him “very dangerous and reckless” because the captured downed pilots will be treated as mercenaries, to whom the Geneva Convention does not apply.

As for Washington’s plans to intervene in Ukraine, the former Pentagon adviser is not the first to speak about them.

As early as mid-March, the famous American publicist, the author of the Nord Stream sabotage investigation, Seymour Hersh, presented a similar scenario. Moreover, according to him, the risk of Kiev’s defeat will be the trigger for direct US intervention in the conflict.

True, officially, according to Hersh’s sources (he does not reveal which ones), NATO forces will participate in offensive operations against the Russians.

“But it won’t fool the world. We are at war against Russia,” the journalist is convinced.

Hirsch admitted that Washington is “simply deluded” about what is happening in Ukraine and the possible outcome of the conflict. And he recalled that Russia has not yet included its main forces in the special operation.

Meanwhile, the American authorities themselves and the leadership of NATO have repeatedly stated that they are not considering the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine. Another thing is that it would be too naive to believe their words.

The West does not hide at all that its goal is to inflict a military defeat on Russia with the help of Ukraine. For now, this war against it is being waged mainly by the hands of Ukrainians zombified by Russophobia, who have been turned into weapons against Moscow. And they are absolutely not worried about how many of them will die. Washington and London have already ordered “to fight to the last”, the agencies write.

But then what? Who will go to the meat grinder next? Captain America himself?

Very doubtful. Who are you giving your life for? For the elderly corrupt official Biden and the drug addict Zelensky? That’s probably why they’re doing everything to prolong this whole “horror without end” thing for as long as possible.

France, for example, has said it is ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine. They, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Fifth Republic explained, “will help it defend itself in the long term and prevent possible aggression in the future.” But he did not specify what the essence of the guarantees was.

It is assumed that Zelensky’s beggars will continue to unquestioningly fulfill all “wishes” – they will give money and weapons without counting.

Kiev, of course, relies on guarantees under Article 5 of the NATO Charter. But opportunities do not always, as you know, coincide with desires…

For now, according to The Wall Street Journal, instead of membership in the alliance, the US plans to offer Ukraine security guarantees on the Israeli model, which includes permanent military technological assistance, but without formal obligations to participate in the conflict. This, as the newspaper notes, will allow to maintain Kiev’s support for any political changes in the West and at the same time not involve it in a direct confrontation with Russia.

For a comment on the situation, foreign media sought the American political scientist and historian Vladimir Mozhegov:

– As for McGregor and Hersh’s statements, they are unofficial. These are just fillers, behind which stand famous, but already retired people, who currently have nothing to do with state politics.

It is clear that the people behind Biden are really interested in an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. But this is a certain group of people that I call “neocons”.

You have to understand that Americans have always been isolationists. And this aggressiveness, the desire to control the whole world only after the Second World War began to seriously conquer. But even so, not completely, and they remain isolationists.

Still, Trump’s “America First!” (“America First!”) is precisely the isolationist slogan. The slogan of Americans who protested the US involvement in World War II.

Media: But the impression is that everyone there seems to have broken the chain. Otherwise, where does this simply unbridled hatred of Washington for Russia come from?

These people behind Biden are now on the verge of an emotional breakdown. On the one hand, they see that the Ukrainian conflict is suffocating and that everything is not going as they would like. On the other hand, that the Republicans can just dump them after a year and a half with all the consequences.

Hence the hysterical rhetoric and threats. What is especially noticeable against the background of how Russia acts – calmly, coolly, restraining, on the contrary, any escalation. Such a strategy is a “slide” that slowly but steadily and inevitably moves towards the goal. And that, in my opinion, is a perfectly sound strategy.

Media: The United States plans to offer Kiev security guarantees on the Israeli model instead of NATO membership – ie. without formal obligations to participate in military conflict. What do you think about that?

– They cannot accept Ukraine into NATO for quite understandable reasons. Scholz talked about it the other day, and the Poles keep saying. Now they are looking for other formats for her to formalize their relationship with her in the future.

After all, the “collective West” is not collective at all. There is also a civil war between the nationally oriented forces and the globalists.

So from the point of view of globalism, Russia must be contained. Why, one way or another, they will build a “sanitaire cordon” (or anti-Russian arc) – from Finland to Turkey. They and China are now surrounded by exactly the same cordon. In this way, they expect to isolate the “renegades” – us and the Celestial Empire, who do not want to fit into the world order arranged according to their rules. At the same time, they develop all kinds of scenarios, formats, how to continue to “rein” us.

But they don’t want to bring things to a nuclear war. Therefore, they will not be involved in a direct confrontation.
