Russia has lost 5,000 tanks in its war in Ukraine, which has continued 200 times longer than Moscow had assumed. This was said today in a speech before a meeting of the Security and Cooperation Forum in Vienna of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) the senior military adviser of the British delegation in the organization Nicholas Okotquoted by Ukrinform agency.

“Russia’s shocking war in Ukraine now lasting 200 times longer than Moscow anticipated. Ukraine’s incredible defense is the result of the tremendous courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people,” Okot said.

He did not rule out that Russia will try this winter as well directly attack Ukrainian energy infrastructure, if, in his words, “he manages to recover its dwindling stockpile of long-range cruise missiles”.

According to the British representative, “Russia will continue to cover up its countless failures on the battlefield to allow these failed efforts to continue”.

“Even at this diplomatic forum, Russia will threaten to destroy Ukrainian planes while at the same time continuing to shoot down its own planes in the sky, talking about military successes, while already controls only half of the Ukrainian territory it held at the start of the campaignand can even show a few NATO machines on the obligatory slideshow without admitting that has already lost 5000 tanks in this disastrous campaign” said the senior British military adviser.

He also noted that Russia is now forced to cooperate only with authoritarian regimes.
