Another such material came out on NBC, with reference to inside sources, how for over a month they have been probing what is needed for peace talks because the war is “deadlocked”, but even in this material it was explicitly stated that the administration of US President Joe Biden sees no signs that Russia is ready to negotiate a realistic and sustainable peace.
There is no stalemate
At a press conference together with EC President Ursula von der Leyen, the Ukrainian president explicitly emphasized that the war in Ukraine has not reached a stalemate. He agreed that it has been a long time (over 20 months) and the soldiers are tired, but he spoke about the need to protect the Ukrainian military because they are the country’s most valuable asset, and about the need for Ukraine to finally get with F-16 fighters and more air defenses to counter Russian air superiority. Zelensky explicitly recalled that even in 2022, quite a few experts were talking about a stalemate on the front, before the two successful Ukrainian offensives in Kharkiv and Kherson regions. He was categorical – the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court in The Hague for the systematic kidnapping of Ukrainian children, will not stop within the borders of the now occupied Ukrainian lands and that Ukraine “does not have the right to even think about surrendering”. This was de facto Zelensky’s response to a lengthy essay by Ukrainian army commander General Valery Zaluzhny, in which he wrote that the war was heading for a stalemate and certain changes needed to happen for Ukraine to hope for victory – first of all air superiority, but not only: Zaluzhny: The war is becoming positional, this is profitable for Russia
Pressing for peace talks after the Kremlin has given a clear recent sign that it does not see the war becoming a positional one — on November 2, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov specifically said Russia was winning, referring to Avdeyevka — is harmful, he wrote in his assessment in his daily analysis ISW (the American think tank Institute for the Study of War).
Meanwhile, Putin’s regime continues to suffer humiliation and failure not only on the Ukraine front, but also on the information front. Another humiliation – hackers have managed to break into a profile in a social network of a general’s wifeMikhail Teplinski and they brought out evidence that she was cheating on him with his brother. Teplinski is the commander of the Russian Air Force (VVS) and mainly their elite Russian paratroopers, and is currently considered to have taken over the leadership of the Russian forces fighting in the Kherson region, along the Dnieper River: The Russians have changed commanders at the Dnieper: Russian military bloggers comment (VIDEO). The hackers published chats between Teplinski’s wife and his younger brother Dmitry, and the two even exchanged erotic photos. Given the material collected, the link seems to have been around for a long time:
Separately, The Moscow Times cites its sources in the Russian government that the director-general of Russia’s state-run TASS news agency, Sergei Mikhailov, has been fired — for covering the Yevgeny Prigozhin rebellion and PMK Wagner. The news finds its place in the highlights of the ISW overview. And in the material of The Moscow Times, it is described that Mikhailov is parting with his post because the TASS coverage of the rebellion did not portray the Russian authorities in a good enough light. “The employees of TASS have forgotten that their number one task is not to cover news, but to create an ideologically comfortable environment for the Kremlin,” the article says, citing a source from the Russian government.a summary of the Ukrainian General Staff states that for the last 24 hours there were 82 combat clashes, which is 15 times more than the level for the last 2 days. 20 of these attacks are at Avdeevka, speaking of stopped Russian attacks.
At Avdeevka, there is already geolocated video footage showing that the Russians managed to advance slightly along the railway line southeast of Stepovo (8 kilometers northwest of Avdeevka). The footage is a compilation of Ukrainian drone bombings, showing Russian soldiers being slaughtered at the railway line. Against this background, since yesterday, Russian military telegram channels (such as “Ribar”) claim that Russian forces are advancing and succeeding in strengthening positions already occupied by the railway line: Ukraine has successfully scared tens of thousands of Russians away from the front: US assessment (VIDEO) In its morning review, however, “Ribar”, behind which is the former spokesman of the Russian Ministry of Defense Mikhail Zvinchuk, explicitly writes that the Ukrainians successfully counterattacked and took back part of the positions occupied by the Russians along the railway line.pic.twitter.com/s0xsWZSx8X

And British military intelligence has already estimated that in the last 3 weeks Russia has lost at least 200 tanks, armored vehicles and APCs at Avdeevka: Balance in VIDEO of Russian losses at Avdeevka, a new Russian assault is expected. Against this background, OSINT platform analysts who work with public data estimate that Russia has removed from its warehouses at least 350 T-80 tanks to compensate for its persistent heavy losses in equipment. Not all of these tanks were sent to the front – quite a few of them were used as spare parts, analysts believe. Now Russia has about 810 such tanks in stock – and in the entire war so far, based on public data (geolocalized videos and photos), the Russians have lost 642 T-80 tanks – the losses of other models are separate, OSINT estimates. And against this background, in the direction of Ugledar, near Nikolsko (27 kilometers southwest of the city of Donetsk), new video footage is released of another defeated Russian attack with heavy military equipment:
At Bakhmut, according to publications of the Russian military telegram channels “Two Majors” and “Dnevnik na desantchika”, the Ukrainians advanced through the forest belt north of Klescheevka (7 kilometers northwest of Bakhmut). Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian General Staff reported 10 stopped Russian infantry attacks at Klescheevka, Andreevka (10 kilometers southwest of Bakhmut) and Khromovo (2 kilometers west of Bakhmut).
Along the Dnieper, at Krinki (30 kilometers northeast of Kherson and 2 kilometers east of the Dnieper), the Ukrainians are maintaining positions – “Ribar” admits it with the words “unfortunately” (reference to the overview of the canal is above in the text). In Zaporozhye, there are no confirmed changes in positions along the directions Orekhov – Tokmak – Melitopol and Velika Novoselka – Berdyansk (on the border with Donetsk region).
To the east, in the direction to Kupyansk and along the line Svatovo – Kremena, there are also no confirmed changes in positions. However, the commander of the Ukrainian ground forces, General Oleksandr Sirsky, explicitly commented that in the direction of Kupyansk, the Russians suffered heavy losses, but despite this, they are making more and more efforts to capture Sinkovka (8 kilometers northeast of Kupyansk) in order to have a bridgehead for an attack on the city. So far they have not succeeded.
That night, an attack was also carried out in Skadovsk, which is located practically on the coast of the Sea of Azov – in the Kherson region. It is yet to be determined what exactly the Ukrainian army was able to hit. In the official telegram channels of the Russian-appointed governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, and the Skadovsky occupation Russian administration, there is not a word about what happened – only lamenting the Ukrainian strike in Chaplinka, where the Russians have long been known to have a military base and use the settlement as logistics point. The Skad administration presents the strike as shelling civilian objects (Employment Center) and that there were 9 dead and 9 wounded. There were also explosions in Rostov-on-Don.
