Kiev has lost its best chance for victory in the conflict with Russia, said retired British colonel Richard Kemp, quoted by the “Daily Telegraph”.
He calls Ukraine’s prospects extremely deplorable in the conditions when the country has been deprived of the necessary weapons, and all the world’s attention is focused on Israel.
At the same time, a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian armed forces is increasingly reaching a dead end, the military notes.
At the same time, he does not rule out that Russia is also preparing its offensive against the depleted Ukrainian army. According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s strategy to weaken Western support for Kiev has been justified in the best possible way.
As a result, Kiev’s Western partners have helped Moscow with their indecision on the issue of arms supplies to Kiev, Kemp noted.
As the retired colonel states, the West is terribly tired of military action and is interested in making a deal with the Kremlin to resolve the situation and end the conflict.
