Joe Biden and Xi Jinping stop the production and distribution of fentanyl

The United States and China have agreed to resume high-level military communications. This became clear after the meeting between Presidents Joe Biden and Xi Jinping in San Francisco.

The purpose of the meeting is to stabilize relations between the US and China after a period of high tension in order to avoid conflict.

After nearly four hours of talks in a mansion near San Francisco, it became clear that Joe Biden and Xi Jinping also agreed on cooperation in the fight against drugs. And specifically to stop the production and distribution of fentanyl, which is the leading cause of overdose deaths in the United States.

Among the other topics of conversation were the conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine. The Chinese leader has expressed hope that the two superpowers can be partners and respect each other.

At a press conference after the meeting, US President Joe Biden described the talks as “one of the most productive” the two leaders have had. But he said he has not changed his view that the Chinese president is a dictator.

The meeting comes at a time when relations between the United States and China are at their lowest point in 40 years.
