Ministry of Justice of Russia on Friday announced the new additions to the list of foreign agentsreports “Interfax”.
Among them are the journalist Ilya BerThe Moscow Times publication, the foreign company Hidemy.network Ltd., which sells the VPN service “HideMy.name” and the “Team Against Torture”.
“Also upon application by a person intending to act as a foreign agentMI Nikandrov is included in the register“, said the press release.
“Team Against Torture” is included in the foreign agent registry because it was created by a foreign agent – Team Against Torture.
“In this case, it is a matter of good faith fulfillment by the specified person of the requirements of the law, established for the persons included in the register for the distribution of messages and materials intended for an unlimited number of people and/or participating in the creation of such messages and materials, and aimed at increasing the information transparency of their activity,” the ministry explained.
The Department of Justice charged The Moscow Times in spreading false information about the decisions and policies of the Russian authorities, actions to create a negative image of state bodies and participation in the creation and distribution of materials of foreign agents to an unlimited number of people. The edition is managed by foreign persons and structuresthe department notes.

The foreign organization Hidemy.network Ltd., which implements the VPN service “HideMy.name”, was involved in the distribution of messages and materials of foreign agents to an unlimited number of people, spread fakes about the decisions and policies of the Russian authorities and sought to create a negative image of them.
