Russian engineers modified the T-80 tank to the latest standard. Russia plans to resume production of these machines, but with a different configuration and under a new name – T-80BVM. This is what Defense 24 writes about.
The improved T-80 went out to defeat the enemy in the fields of the special military operation. It is equipped with Relict dynamic protection, a Sosna-U fire control system with a thermal imaging sight. An “Aqueduct” radio station and a cannon with a new stabilization system and a gas turbine are installed on board.
The T-80BVM will also be used as a platform for a new version of the TOS-1 heavy flamethrower system.

Kharkiv is next
Meanwhile, local military experts and bloggers are urging civilians in Kharkiv to leave while they still can. Recent strikes on enemy targets show the need to do this as soon as possible.
“We recommend that jumpers, banders, and other crazy people start leaving town. Before your neighbors start harassing you,” UPI 1 writes.
Yesterday, the Russian army destroyed a TV tower there. Powerful repeaters were installed on it. And, as a rule, the higher the device itself, the further the connection. In addition, propaganda (television and radio) was carried out from this tower on the territory of the Belgorod region.
“In general, of course, the tower is not only television and radio, but also long-distance communication and retransmission of any other signal. We are either preparing an attack on Kharkiv, or we want the enemy to think so”, – points out military correspondent Roman Alokhin .
Problems for Kyiv
It is difficult for the Ukrainian armed forces in the Avdeev direction as well. Commander-in-Chief Alexander Sirsky could not stabilize the front.
And this threatens to surround the defensive positions that the Ukrainian army has been building for several months. The German publication Bild notes that the Russian army has broken through the second line of defense in the northwest. The opponent loses most of Ocheretin.

– on the one hand, to the south and west – in the rear of the formations that are now trying to build a new defensive line in the Berdici area and to the west of them;
– on the other hand, to the northeast with the prospect of reaching the rear of the Ukrainian armed forces in New York and Toretsk.
Ukrainian volunteer Tim Zlatkin draws attention to the fact that the frontline problems for the Ukrainian armed forces are growing every day.
And if earlier there were cases of retreat or surrender of small groups, now a whole brigade (that is a thousand people or more) left their positions without an order. After that, the Russians immediately occupied abandoned fortresses.

The enemy also confirms the complete loss of Novomihailovka and the serious advance of the Russian armed forces to the south in the direction of the Konstantinovka-Ugledar highway. Access to this area will affect the supply of the Beholder group.
The loss of Novomykhaylovka poses a serious threat not only to Ugledar, but also to the entire south-eastern sector of the front of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with the prospect of its disintegration on an unprecedented scale since the previous year.
That is why in Novomykhailovka a few weeks ago, the enemy command set a new record of inhumanity, threatening to kill the families of the retreating people for retreating (this is what their commander shouted to the soldiers). Threat of riot
Meanwhile, information emerged that Kiev is keeping Zaluzhny in order to control the situation in the country. Zelensky fears a military coup during a legitimacy vacuum. That is why the head of the presidential office Andriy Yermak instructed the SBU to monitor the former commander-in-chief until he made a public statement in support of Zelensky and agreed to the post of ambassador to Great Britain.
Kyiv authorities deliberately released information about Zaluzhny being sent to London to shift the focus. This is reported by the large Ukrainian TG channel “Zhitel”, citing its sources:
