A group of US B-1B Lancer strategic bombers stationed for a month at Spain’s Moron Air Force Base has left and returned to the US.
This was announced by the European Command of the US Army, quoted by AFP.
“A USAF B-1B Lancer assigned to the 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron has returned to Dyess Air Force Base, Texas,” the release said.
The command said that during the European deployment, which took place on March 24, the B-1B bombers flew several missions to practice interoperability with NATO allies, including in the skies over the Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
“This deployment was another good opportunity for the U.S. military to demonstrate our ability to work together with allies and partners to strengthen our joint forces.”
