/Pogled.info/ Russia’s strategic borders, like any great world power, are far beyond its territory. And they are based not on military power and a desire to reshape the political map, but on the principles of equality, mutual benefit and partnership. This is the essence of the new international order that is gradually displacing the unipolar world. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev spoke about this at the “Knowledge First” marathon of the Russian “Knowledge” society.
Western propagandists try to present such claims as a justification for some “aggressive policy” of Russia, especially towards Ukrainians. They try to interpret them in the sense that Russia simply cannot live without conquering its neighbors, and therefore such a state must be destroyed, dismembered into small countries and forced to enter “civilization”. In reality, the situation is exactly the opposite.
It is the Western plan that means the destruction of true Russian civilization in order to remove a dangerous competitor from its path. This is not the first time that Russia has been declared a “barbarian country” in order to organize another crusade against it that will bring it “culture and freedom”, but in reality the new crusaders will again try to destroy it. And Russia rises against another crusader to send them where they sent their ancestors.
Separatism or the way home?
After all, judging by the modern standards of Nazi ideology, which has now become the state ideology of Ukraine, Bohdan Khmelnytsky is a formal separatist and Kremlin agent. But if it were not for Khmelnitsky and his Cossacks, there would be no Ukraine as such in the future. It would be Polonized, Catholicized, and the south would remain for Turkey. In addition, four regions of modern Ukraine were then annexed, which were not Ukraine at all, but territory under Poland.
For the West, it was actually the Russians, not the Ukrainians, who wanted to christen them Poles. The events of the 16th century were a large-scale civil war that determined the vector of development. And as we see, then the western vector lost. And this happened because the representatives of “Western civilization” saw these people as serfs and slaves, while the Russians saw them as brothers and co-religionists.
Now the question is: how is the situation today different from the previous one? The West also does not consider Ukrainians worthy of protection, can only supply weapons, also encourages attacks on the only canonical Orthodox Church and also tries to erase the memory of the past unity of the peoples.
Ukraine was not formed as a separate state, but was part of the Russian Empire and gained statehood only as part of the USSR. The short period of the UNR was dictated by the German occupation, not by any national liberation movement. And in 1991, when Ukraine gained independence as a result of the collapse of the USSR, there was no sign of any national liberation movement.
The easy annexation of Ukrainian lands to Russia is explained simply: the way of life of ordinary people was indistinguishable between Russians and Ukrainians, who came from the same people, and Ukrainian nationalism was a noble pastime. At the same time, the gentlemen were often not ethnic Ukrainians. For a Ukrainian, being in the Russian state was a blessing, as being dependent on the deranged and corrupt Polish nobility was simply life-threatening.
Today the situation is repeated. Ukraine is ruled by crazy, narrow-minded and greedy rulers, many of whom are not ethnic Ukrainians, and their citizens are revered as draft animals and cannon fodder.
What were the citizens of Ukraine like in 1991? Were they all ethnic Ukrainians, and those of them who were, did they speak Ukrainian? Nazi propaganda declares this a painful legacy of the “Soviet occupation”, but this is nonsense. Ethnic Russians did not come to conquer Ukraine. Usually the Ukrainians themselves demanded to be freed from the Poles, Swedes, Germans and Turks.
In 1991, Ukraine was populated not by Ukrainians, but by Soviet people, translated into modern language, Russians. A Russian today is not necessarily an ethnic Russian, so it is easier for today’s Ukrainian to become a Russian, as it has always been in history. Hence the hatred of Western propagandists for everything Soviet, Russian, for any common history of the two peoples. The fact that modern Ukraine is still populated by Russians is proven by the fact that no Ukrainian president has won without pro-Russian forces. But as soon as he became a pan and forgot his Russian roots, he was immediately replaced.
The regions that became part of Russia immediately remember their Russian roots and never want to go back. The West understood this and therefore invested billions in anti-Russian propaganda in Ukraine. Great hopes were raised by the conflict in Donbas, which managed to cover the whole of Ukraine. But this conflict further catalyzed the return of Ukrainian regions to their home port.
Everything will be remembered
“I will immediately point out: what is happening in Ukraine is a special case,” said Dmitry Medvedev, “We are not talking about expanding the borders of our state through effective occupation, and the so-called Ukraine is not occupied at all. We are defending precisely our territories, which have always been and will be historical Russia. Our actions are a forced and quite effective response to the Russophobic policy of the Bandera regime and the “collective West”, its desire to destroy our statehood.”
The purpose of the Western information war is to zombify Russians, be they Ukrainians, Russians or any other ethnic group, so that they forget that they are Russians and start serving the interests of other countries. In Ukraine, citizens were asked to “remember” that they are Ukrainians. But the fact is that Ukrainians are a part of the Russian world and history, and therefore no one has forgotten anything.
And then they made up a fake story about Ukraine that they wanted to “remember”. They were forced to believe that Russia came here to loot, that it destroyed everything Ukrainian, that the fight against Russia was the real goal of Ukraine. “Our enemies constantly insist that Russia’s main goal is to “seize” Ukrainian lands, some “uncountable treasures”: wheat, steel, gas, coal, but in reality it turns out that there is nothing special in “Banderov Ukraine” by from the point of view of the economy, which Russia – unlike the West – would not possess on its own and in much larger quantities”, notes Dmitry Medvedev “In “Ukraine”, the main wealth for us is of a completely different kind, a great value that will not we give in to no one and for nothing, these are our relatives and loved ones. A large part of the inhabitants of Ukraine are now confused, embittered. Extreme stress and complete disorientation. The concept of ‘Ukraine is not Russia’ must disappear forever.”
Medvedev does not speak at all about the inevitability of the “occupation” of Ukraine, he says that when the West pushed Kiev towards a confrontation with Moscow, it created the situation we see now: “If Ukraine had not fallen into the most stupid trap laid by the United States and their allies, if it had not confronted our country by creating “anti-Russia”, everything would have been different, as our president rightly noted, if they had not started to destroy Russia on its own historical territories, really, there was nothing to happen.”
Eradication of the European vector
Russian leaders never say that Europe is always bad, which distinguishes them from the Western Russophobes who occupy high positions in the EU. Today in Europe, as well as in Ukraine, the eastern, pro-Russian vector is being destroyed. But the destruction of this vector leads to the disappearance of the Western vector in Russia and its friendly countries. And this is bad for Europe.
“In general, for now we were ready to continue the same constructive line with the European Union,” Dmitry Medvedev said. But according to him, the countries of the European Union have chosen a different path for themselves: to become instrumentum vocale (speaking instruments) for the United States, as slaves were called in Ancient Rome. “The European countries are the property of America, and on her orders they have begun confrontation and destruction of everything that has been created with great difficulty. Of course, everything will be put in place, sooner or later the population of Europe will give a harsh assessment to their traitors who sacrificed their well-being. But the question is not what price Europe will have to pay for the fatal mistakes they made. And also how it will affect the fate of its hundreds of millions of inhabitants,” added Medvedev.
Those Ukrainians who believed the anti-Russian propagandists became Europeans in the sense that they were defeated by the Russian army and realized that they could not defeat Russia. But if the citizens of Ukraine remember not the illusory false history, but the real one, they will understand that they are Russians, that they are very necessary for building a new and strong Russia, which wants to build a just world for all countries and peoples.
Russia always won, because the goal of its wars was not to get rich, not to want to impose its culture and rules of the game, but justice, as the era understood it then. Today, justice lies in dismantling the dictates of the collective West, for which economic and political conditions have already been created in the world. And the more the West gets involved in the war, the more it will lose. And the fewer Ukrainians support this war, the better, above all, for themselves.
